The membership of Camberley and District Silver Band is made up of people of all ages from all walks of life – brought together by our love of brass band music!
Our aim is to be a fun and enjoyable environment in which to play a wide variety of music – both traditional and modern – at a variety of events throughout the year. We maintain a busy bandstand programme during the summer, entertaining audiences across Surrey and Berkshire (and sometimes a bit further). Through the winter we have traditional carolling to raise money for charity and a concert programme of our own too.
We are currently welcoming new members. If you would like to come along to practice with us, please get in touch – you will be made more than welcome.
The main band rehearses from 7.30pm to 9.30pm the majority of Fridays. Please see the practice calendar for any potential variations. Rehearsal time includes a short interlude for tea and biscuits (and potentially cake!)
Rehearsals take place at St. Peters Church, Frimley. For satnav the postcode is GU16 7AQ and the map below shows the car park next to the hall:
If you would like to get started with brass music (or are a bit rusty) then our training band is the perfect place to start – find out more.
